Spring 2003 - Grand opening of our New Window and Door Store located on Highway 11/17 – just west of Fort Frances

D&A Construction is owned and operated by Darrell and Angela Degagne. Founded in 1992, we began by doing small renovation work on area homes, employing Darrell, Angela and two part-time staff. Within several years our reputation for quality work had grown, allowing us to add a 5" continuous eavestrough machine, and the Vinyl Window Designs window line to our array of products and services.

In 1995, Fort Frances sustained a major hail storm, which damaged the roofs, eavestrough, window awnings, and siding of homes throughout the area. To fulfill the call for repairs throughout the town, our staff once again grew to include seven employees, who worked extremely hard doing on average one roof, and four continuous eavestrough jobs each day.

The spring of 1996 saw our business increase once again, and our staff increased to 10. In August of 1996 the Fort Frances area received another large hail storm, and we were inundated with so many calls, that we expanded our employee base to 14.By this stage, we were roofing two homes a day (including tin roofs), in addition to installing windows, siding, soffit and fascia and more.

May of 1997 brought yet another hail storm and despite its smaller size, allowed us to keep all 14 employees busy through 1997 and 1998.

The past three years we have maintained five full-time employees working year round, and three seasonal personnel, working from spring to late fall. We've undertaken virtually every type of job imaginable... doors, siding, aluminum soffit and fascia, 5" and 6" aluminum continuous gutters, and much, much more.
